On this tour you will be accompanied to the Paloquemao farmers market, the biggest market of the city, dating back to 1946. This market is bursting with color and traders from all across the country. Get to know the people who take close care of their stalls, selling their products, and eager to show you their many exotic fruits and herbs Colombia has to offer. The plaza is split into three main areas: the first dedicated to fruits, vegetables and spices; the second to meats and fish; and a large covered patio which houses the flower market.
You continue journey by exploring the capital’s city center, getting a taste of its historical centers and museums. You will be visiting the emblematic district of La Candelaria, an area well known for the conservation of its colonial and republican architecture, a mythical setting full of fantastic characters which lead the most heroic and romantic tales of the city.
At your first stop, the Bolivar Square, you will see the National Capitol, Prime Cathedral, Palace of Justice,
City Hall (Lievano Palace), and the House of the 20th of July, where the cry of independence took place.
After getting acquainted with its corky streets, follow your guide to a museum visit of your choice. At this point, your tour starts working according to your preferences, and you will decide whether you prefer to visit the emblematic Gold Museum, a place with an extraordinary collection displaying the goldsmith culture of our indigenous ancestors or the Botero Museum, a must-see place if you are delighted by artistic expressions and would like to see the private collection of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero.

In the morning you will transfer to Bogota international airport for your flight to Pereira. Upon arrival, a transfer to Finca del Café.
The Finca del Café is located in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal, has an average height of 1,500 meters above the sea level in soils of the volcanic origin of the Central Cordillera of the Colombian Andes.
In this beautiful place, it is said that coffee tastes much better when you live the experience of the farm.
Upon arrival at the Finca del Café, you start the tour with a local expert taking you through beautiful special coffee plantations, explaining how the coffee process from sowing, selective manual harvesting and pulping. After this, we will toast special coffee beans in a stove of wood in the kitchen of the typical peasant house where we can have an authentic coffee experience. On the tour, they have several stations with viewpoints made in "guadua" where we can appreciate the beautiful landscape and natural environment of the place while we enjoyed a cup of coffee.
Finally, we move on to the innovative process of drying the coffee bean and then to the beneficiary, ending up in the main house in which we get fired with a delicious coffee lemonade. At the agreed time, assistance and transfer to the place of origin or connection with another tourist activity in the region.

Optional Tour: Valle Del Cocora tour:
The valle de Cócora is part of the natural Parque nacional natural Los Nevadosa, a natural landscape located in the valley of cordillera Central de los Andes Colombianos, specifically in the department of the Quindío. It is the main home of the national tree of Colombia, La Palma de cera Del Quindío (Ceroxylon quindiuense), as well as of a great variety of flora and fauna, much of it in danger, but protected under the status of parque nacional natural. El valle, as well as the nearby coffee towns of Salento and Finlandia are among the main tourist destinations in Colombia
Early-morning leave for Cocora Valley, located in National Park "Los Nevados", admire the “Quindian wax-palm”, Colombia’s national tree, reaching an amazing 60mts-height. Hummingbirds and endemic yellow-eared parrot live here.
Upon arrival, either hiking or horseback-riding, head into cloud-forest; enjoy biodiversity of flora and fauna. Cross Quindio River walking-along an ecological pathway through the tallest wax-palms in the world. Stop at a trout farm and enjoy a traditional smoked-trout meal.
Continue 10 km towards traditional Salento; enjoy city-tour through "Bolivar Square" with its colorful balconies, "calle real", handicrafts shops and Cocora viewpoint.

Today you will visit some of Cartagena's highlights on city tour.
Tour begins with panoramic view from 'La Popa' Monastery and Church. Continue to "San Felipe" castle fortress built on "San Lázaro" hill to defend the city from pirate attacks. Walk-around the fortress and see the castle tunnels, underground galleries and passageways. Continue to Walled City, visit San Pedro Claver Convent and Church compound built mid-XVII century. Go to 'the Vaults', archways built within the walled-city used until late 1700s to store armament and later as prison in the XIX century. Nowadays, it's an artisans' center to appreciate local handcrafts.

What about learning to cook the best Caribbean recipes of Colombia in a warm and convivial atmosphere in the very heart of Getsemani, the coolest neighborhood of Cartagena! The Ohlala Bistrot offers a cooking workshop of 3 hours, under the tutelage of French Chef Gilles Dupart, his wife Carolina and a team of strong-willed Caribbean women. This is an opportunity for them to share the more emblematic and tasty recipes of the region and showcase the colorful variety of local ingredients.
You will start by preparing a tropical fruit juice or mojito cocktail - the perfect way to meet all the participants. During the tasting, the chef will present you with the recipes to prepare: starters, main courses and desserts. The restaurant´s unique approach combines fresh local products and traditional recipes with a refined French spin. After three hours of lively and enriching exchanges, you will sit at the table to enjoy the fruit of your labor. At the end, all the participants receive a printed summary of all the recipes used in class.
